英語THE的用法

　　在英文中THE的用法

　　一，the是修飾名詞的,用法有

　　1.第二次提到某物 This is a book.The book is mine.

　　2.談話雙方所知道的事物Open the window ,please.

　　3.世界上獨一無二的事物the sun,the moon,the earth

　　4.方向The sun rises in the east.

　　5.江河湖海the Yellow River the West lake

　　6.樂器the piano,the violin

　　7.一個名詞被一個介詞詞組修飾,把介詞詞組放在名詞的后面,the放在名詞的前面.The box on the desk is hers.The girl in red is her sister.

　　8.形容詞的最高級和序數(shù)詞前February is the second month of the year

　　The Changjiang River is the longest river in China.

　　9.用于單數(shù)可數(shù)名詞前表示一類人和事物.The apple is a kind of fruit.

　　10.用在由普通名詞構(gòu)成的專有名詞前the Summer Palace

　　11.用在名詞化的形容詞前表示一類人和事物the rich ,the poor,the old

　　12.用在姓氏復(fù)數(shù)前,表示一家人或一個家族the Smiths

　　13.the+比較級+the+比較級表示越來越.The more we get together,the happier we will be.

　　二，the 在不同的語境下,有不同的作用,主要有：

　　(used to make the following n refer to a specific person,thing,event or group 用於名詞前,表示為特指的.人、 物、 事或群體)

　　1 (when it has already been mentioned or implied 指已提到過的或已知所指的人、 物、 事或群體):A boy and a girl were sitting on a bench.The boy was smiling but the girl looked angry.一個男孩和一個女孩坐在長凳上.那男孩在微笑,那女孩像在生氣.

　　2 (when a n is followed by a phrase that restricts its meaning 用於后接限定性短語的名詞):the centre of town 市中心 * the topic of conversation 談話的主題

　　(a) (when it has unique reference 用以指獨一無二的人或事物):the sun 太陽

　　(b) (used with some parts of the natural world without a preceding adj 與表示自然界某部分之名詞連用,該名詞前須無形容詞):The sky was blue.天空是藍(lán)的.

　　3 (when the person or thing that is referred to is obvious within the situation 用以指不言而喻的人或事物):The milkman was late this morning.送牛奶的人今晨來晚了.

　　4 (used with superlative adjs,first,last,next,etc 與形容詞最高級,以及first、 last、 next等連用):the best day of your life 你一生中最美好的一天

　　5 (used with an adj to refer to all members of a class or nationality 與形容詞連用,表示某類或某國的全體分子或成員):trying to do the impossible 試圖做做不到的事

　　6 (used with a singular [C] n to mean the whole class 與可數(shù)名詞的單數(shù)連用,指這一類的全體):The chimpanzee is an endangered species.黑猩猩是瀕於滅種的動物.

　　7 (used for inventions in general 用以泛指發(fā)明的東西):Who invented the zip-fastener?是誰發(fā)明的拉鏈?

　　8 (used in front of a unit of measure to mean `every' 用於量度單位前,表示‘每一’):My car does forty miles to the gallon.我的汽車每加侖汽油跑四十英
