　　附：求職信也稱(chēng)應(yīng)征函。一般的公司在征才啟事中，只會(huì)要求應(yīng)聘者寄上履歷及自傳。求職信是應(yīng)聘者主動(dòng)表示自己對(duì)這份工作的熱衷之一種表現(xiàn)。也就是說(shuō)，履歷及自傳是被動(dòng)的，是一種求職過(guò)程中所必備的文件。而求職信則是主動(dòng)的，是求職過(guò)程中附帶的，但具有爭(zhēng)取面談機(jī)會(huì)的一種半正式溝通作用。

　　嚴(yán)格來(lái)說(shuō)，一封求職信的性質(zhì)是正式的。因?yàn)閷?xiě)求職信的目的乃在于爭(zhēng)取一份工作，而且寫(xiě)作的封象是一個(gè)公司或公司里某位高級(jí)主管，因此我們說(shuō)求職信是一種正式文件。但是從另一角度來(lái)看，求職信是應(yīng)聘者的權(quán)利。應(yīng)聘者可以寫(xiě)，也可以不寫(xiě)這封求職信。如果他不寫(xiě)，沒(méi)有人會(huì)讓為他的應(yīng)聘文件不完整，因?yàn)樗�寄了履歷和自傳。如果他寫(xiě)了，那是他強(qiáng)調(diào)自己對(duì)這份工作的認(rèn)真態(tài)度，也是他除了履歷和自傳以外，一份和受信者之間，雖然正式但具有私人性質(zhì)的額外溝通。融合這兩層意義，所以我們稱(chēng)一封求職信為半正式的溝通。

　　了解了求職信的性質(zhì)之后，我們?cè)賮?lái)了解它的功能。上面我們提到求職信是主動(dòng)的、附帶的、半正式的，而它的功能在哪里呢?它的功能乃在透過(guò)其主動(dòng)而附帶的書(shū)寫(xiě)行為，和受文者做半正式的溝通，進(jìn)而使對(duì)方了解此應(yīng)聘者積極認(rèn)真的態(tài)度，最后達(dá)到取得面談的目的。在此，我們要有一個(gè)認(rèn)識(shí)：不管是求職信、履歷表或自傳，其目的都在被錄取。而錄取的關(guān)鍵乃在而談。如果有面談的機(jī)會(huì)，就表示有錄取的希望。所以求職信、履歷表及自傳也等于是在爭(zhēng)取面談的機(jī)會(huì)。我們常在履歷表或自傳的最后一段看到應(yīng)聘者寫(xiě)上這么一段：“希望貴公司給我面談的機(jī)會(huì)。”便是這個(gè)道理。而求職信的功能便在加強(qiáng)受信者給予應(yīng)聘者面談機(jī)會(huì)的可能性。因?yàn)槁臍v表和自傳的功能乃在敘述自己的背景，是讓對(duì)方了解自己的基本文件，進(jìn)而肯定認(rèn)同自己的能力。

　　有了這些認(rèn)識(shí)以后，我們就可以充分利用這份屬于應(yīng)聘者專(zhuān)有的權(quán)利，為我們爭(zhēng)取工作了。
